Gather Your Supplies
The ingredients for this face scrub are simple, in fact you probably have everything all ready to go right in your pantry or baking cabinet. Remember you can use these ingredients as a guide and adjust how you see fit based on your own preferences. Here’s what you’ll need:

Mix Honey and Sugar
Like any good scrub, you need a nourishing element and a slightly abrasive element. Here we’re using honey—you’ve probably seen honey included in a variety of your beauty products and here’s why: Honey is actually incredibly soothing and moisturizing for your skin. It’s also naturally antibacterial, so it can help heal breakouts. Plus it has lots of antioxidants which help fight the effects of aging. Who knew? Here you’ll want to add enough honey to the brown sugar so the two create a semi-thick paste. The beauty of this recipe is that you can whip up this scrub for each individual use or you can make enough so you can save it for a week or so at a time.
Add a Drop of Vanilla
This is an entirely optional step that just makes the face scrub feel a little more luxe. Add a drop or two of vanilla extract and mix it in to the honey and brown sugar mixture. What does it do? Nothing other than make the scrub smell nice. But there’s nothing wrong with that! You can add a different scent if you’d like too. Just be sure to exercise a little caution if you have really sensitive skin. Some fragrances can be slightly irritating.
Apply or Store the Face Mask
To slough off dead skin, simply apply to your face and rub in small circular motions. You really want to be gentle with this scrub. It’s meant to be used no more than once per week and still you really want to take it easy with anything this abrasive on your face. The tiny sugar particles work to exfoliate the skin, while the honey gives your skin the added benefits we mentioned before. If you have any leftover scrub, you can use it on other parts of your body like your hands or décolletage. You can even store it in a small air tight container until the next time you use it. Since it’s so easy to whip up, we recommend only making one or two batches at a time to keep it fresh! Enjoy!
