Facebook has recently made a change in their commenting system. Now, they are giving a permanent and direct link to each individual comment on a status update, photo, video, whatever posted on Facebook. If you click on the timestamp of a Facebook comment –you’ll be taken to a new page showing the post and all the comments associated with the post. The page will scroll and the comment in question will be highlighted with light yellow color. Highlighting, however, will fade away within a few seconds. You can now copy the comment URL from the address bar of your browser and use it anywhere you want. If you paste such a URL somewhere on the Internet, a click on this URL will take the user directly to that particular Facebook comment. POWER TIP: you don’t actually need to click on the comment timestamp. You can take a right click on the timestamp and select “Copy link location” from the popup menu. this way you would not need to open a new page just to copy the comment URL. This feature allows you to send and share the link to a particular comment. This could also be used in citations. It would have been better if highlighting color would remain and not fade away. A solid highlighting color would have made it easier to look for the comment. I hope this was useful for you. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions on this topic. I will be happy to try and help you. Thank you for using TechWelkin.
