If you want to promote your brand, then it is better to have a Facebook Page instead of profile. But creating a Facebook Page is just the first step -you need to promote it rigorously to get audience. You need to learn how to promote a Facebook Page. And if you don’t have money to advertise on Facebook, then you need to find methods of promotion without spending money. There are a few time-tested tips on how you should go about promoting your page. Ten of these tips are given below: Too many posts on your page in a day (if they all are not exceptionally interesting) can spoil the mood of your followers. Most people on Facebook dislike their news feed flooded with messages that they don’t much like. One of the least understood tip on Facebook Page promotion is that you need to put emphasis on quality of your posts –and not the quantity of it. Too many posts can actually prove to be counter-productive. If you’ll keep on posting about more or less the same thing –your audience certainly will first get bored and then lose interest in your page. For example, if you are a publisher and you keep on posting only about books you publish –well, you should rethink your strategy and begin to post other interesting literary stuff that may or may not be related to you own company. Interesting and varied posts are the key of keeping hold on your followers. Don’t let them slip away just because of monotonous environment on your page. Your page should not act like a stone wall that does not respond no matter how much your audience try to talk to it. On contrary, you should be proactive to engage in conversation with your followers. If someone makes a comment –you reply appropriately. If someone asks you a question –you should answer. If someone suggests something –you should take it seriously and see if implementation would be useful for your page. Post things that attract people to come back to your page again and again. Periodical activities are a nice way of accomplishing it. For example, you can post a quiz in the morning and post answers in the evening. Keep repeating this schedule so that followers become habitual of taking part in your quizzes. If you are a photographer, in addition to daily activities on your page, you can post an out-of-this-world shot on every Monday to make people wait for the day and see your post as soon as you make it. You need to be very punctual in this regard –because those who wait for something to happen –they do feel very disappointed if it doesn’t happen right on the expected time! You should publish address of your Facebook page on all you printed material. On visiting cards, greeting cards, calendar, print advertisement, stationary, posters, banners, backdrops etc. -your Facebook page address should be omnipresent. You should also include this address in the signature of your email. Webinars (web seminars) are a really cool way to promote anything including your Facebook Page! Just decide the date and time you want to organize a webinar –then share this information on your Facebook Page. People who will find the subject of the webinar interesting –they will share the information on their profiles and pages. This will effectively spread the information about your Facebook Page also.
